Transport NSW

Live It Up Locally

BRIEF

Sydney is undergoing major public transport upgrades. The multi-year plan has closed down the main street of the central business district and has affected many areas that will be home to the new bus and tram routes. With road blockages and construction going on everywhere many businesses have started to suffer due to reduced foot traffic and an increase in noise. The transport department of New South Wales (Australia) approached us to create content to promote affected cafés along Military Road.

SOLUTION

We created a film that mocks rival city Melbourne and their sometimes strange coffee culture. We used it as a backbone to explore several cafes in the area and try their signature coffees. To increase reach we partnered with two local food bloggers to star in the film. We adapted all content for different social channels creating versions for Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

RESULTS

The campaign was pushed out by the Government’s channels as well as the food bloggers and businesses featured in the piece. The videos received over 250,000 organic views and businesses saw an increase in customers.
